The console market in Russia is actively growing. Group of companies "M.Video-Eldorado" reported that in the first nine months of 2023, Russians bought 2.5 times more consoles compared to 2022.
▫️850 thousand consoles were sold in January-September. 40% of sales occurred in the third quarter.
▫️Only 35% of the consoles sold were consoles from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
Retro consoles were in the greatest demand. In annual terms, their unit sales increased by 20%.
Steam Deck sold well. In the period from July to September, Russians bought 2.1 times more copies of Steam Deck than at the beginning of the year.
▫️Unit sales of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series have almost tripled in a year.
▫️Russians spent 15.5 billion rubles on the purchase of consoles. 85% of the total cash volume came from consoles from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
