In early September, nearly half of the state of Spiders plans to go on strike against poor working conditions at the studio. Specifically, developers are unhappy with low wages, inefficient management, and issues with the production of GreedFall II. In a statement to the media, Spiders’ leaders denied these accusations.

The managers described the claims of the disgruntled employees as false, defamatory, and not reflecting the true situation at the studio, and labeled the open letter published by the strikers as an attempt to harm Spiders' reputation.
Spiders’ leaders stated that over the past few days, they have repeatedly tried to meet with a delegation of employees, but have been unsuccessful. They plan to organize another meeting by the end of this week.
The leaders of Spiders also noted that the GreedFall II team is “enthusiastically” preparing the game for its early access release on September 24. In their letter, the strikers claimed that the work on GreedFall II had reached a standstill, and the developers themselves were burned out and doubtful about the quality of the project.
