Lesta Games banned employees from working remotely and changed the work schedule, the portal reports dev.by . Since September, developers are required to spend nine hours a day in the office.
Now the working day at Lesta Games officially lasts from 9.30 to 18.30.
In conversation with dev.by one of the company’s employees said that if you come to the office before the start of the working day or leave after it ends, this time will not be counted. If an employee stays in the office for less than the required hours, the amount for unworked time will be deducted from his salary. Also, according to him, in November Lesta Games is going to introduce fines for tardiness and absenteeism. Moreover, not only the employee, but also the manager will be fined for systematic violations.
Lesta Games in a comment to the portal confirmed that it refused to be deleted and introduced a nine-hour working day. The company expects that thanks to this it will increase efficiency and productivity by 25%. In addition, such measures will save money.
“Even 1 hour difference (waiting and out of sync) this is enormously expensive and a huge loss for the company,” said Lesta Games.
At the same time, at least in the Minsk office of Lesta Games, free breakfasts, lunches and dinners appeared. According to the staff, breakfast ends at 8.30 and dinner starts at 20.00. Lesta Games itself did not specify the schedule for dev.by, but stated that while chatting over food, people have “the most ingenious solutions and ideas.”
UPDATE: a working day from 9.30 to 18.30, provided that employees are provided with a mandatory one-hour break from a legal point of view, is most likely considered an eight-hour break. According to the labor codes of Russia and Belarus, a meal break during working hours is not included.
