Even after the completion of restructuring within the Embracer Group, the subsidiary studios of the holding continue to lose staff. Crystal Dynamics announced its decision to downsize its workforce.

The number of layoffs is small. In an official statement, Crystal Dynamics mentioned that 17 employees will be leaving the studio. It is worth noting that the studio employs over 300 people in total.
As explained by Crystal Dynamics, the layoffs will allow the studio to align its operations with current business needs and achieve greater success in the future. The company promises to provide support to all employees affected by the downsizing.
Crystal Dynamics emphasized that the layoffs will not impact the games it is currently working on. The studio is presently developing a new game in the Tomb Raider franchise and is assisting The Initiative with the Perfect Dark remake.
The last reported layoffs at Crystal Dynamics were announced in September 2023. At that time, it was part of a large-scale restructuring of Embracer Group, which began in June of the same year. In an effort to cut costs, the holding laid off more than 1,500 employees across its teams, as well as closed or sold part of its subsidiaries.
