Recently, seven dismissed BioWare employees sued the company and demanded to increase their severance payments to the statutory ones. In a comment to Kotaku, the developers' lawyer said that BioWare had previously refused them out of fear that it would become a financial burden for her.
Alex Kennedy said that before filing the lawsuit, the developers tried to peacefully negotiate with the company, but to no avail. Some of them got the impression that, according to BioWare, the payment of large benefits will affect the development of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
Kennedy said that initially 15 developers wanted to go to court. Some of them changed their minds because they were worried that they would not have enough money for their daily needs later. Although BioWare has cut payments, it's still money.
BioWare has not publicly commented on the lawsuit of former employees.
