The Shanghai Intellectual Property Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a man named Jin Xin against Apple in 2021. Jin claimed that the company abused its market position by imposing a high commission of 30% on iOS app developers, which ultimately led to increased spending by users.

The court compared the commissions in the App Store with those of several Android mobile app stores and did not find a significant difference. Furthermore, it found no evidence in the lawsuit that the commission rate in the App Store directly led to inflated prices.

Jin has already stated that he intends to appeal the verdict, filing an appeal with the Supreme People's Court of China.
