The release of Baldur’s Gate 3 became extremely successful: only on Steam the peak online game exceeded 875 thousand people. It is not known for sure how many people bought the game in total, but Larian Studios and Wizards of the Coast are very pleased with the results of the project.

“The concept of ‘commercial success’ has many definitions, but we are very happy because our fans are happy,” Cynthia Williams, president of Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro Gaming, said in an interview with GamesIndustry.

Recall that in mid-August, the Belgian Embassy in China reported that two weeks after the release of the game, sales of Baldur’s Gate 3 reached 5.2 million copies. The game developers have not commented on this figure.
