Another financial report was published by the South Korean company KRAFTON. She summed up the results of the first quarter of 2024.
Dark and Darker Mobile
- In the first three months of 2024, KRAFTON earned 665.9 billion won, or $488 million. This is a record. In annual terms, revenue increased by 23.6%.
- KRAFTON's net profit was 348.6 billion won ($255 million). An increase of 30.5% compared to the first quarter of 2023.
- Mobile games brought KRAFTON 402.3 billion won ($295 million, +15.5%), PC games — 243.7 billion won ($179 million, +36.5%), and console games — 11.5 billion won ($8.4 million, +58.5%).
- KRAFTON is pleased with the success of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. According to the company, sales of the game and its monthly active audience have grown to the highest values since January 2022 - since the transition of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS to the free—play model. This was achieved thanks to the popularity of the Rondo map and the addition of new weapons.
- In April, KRAFTON conducted the first beta test of Dark and Darker Mobile in South Korea, which lasted five days. More than 50 thousand gamers participated in it. The release of the mobile game is scheduled for the end of the year.
