According to the company's press release, the funds received by EF Games will be allocated for the development of a new multiplayer PvP game. For KRAFTON, this move is a continuation of its consistent strategy to expand its portfolio by supporting promising game studios.
It should be noted that one of KRAFTON's recent significant deals was the acquisition of Tango Gameworks from Microsoft in August 2024, saving the creators of Hi-Fi RUSH from closure. According to the company, this deal closed at the "last minute" and was driven more by creative than commercial motives. In the same month, KRAFTON also invested in Eschatology Entertainment — a studio founded by veterans from Wargaming and Valve.
EF Games is a game studio based in Madrid, founded in early 2024 by brothers Joaquin and Gonzalo Ruipérez. Previously, they led the company Estudiofuture, which specialized in virtual reality projects.
