Konami has decided to sue the Japanese developer and publisher Cygames. The reason for the conflict was the game Uma Musume Pretty Derby about horse girls, in which Cygames allegedly violated patents belonging to the company.

Konami demands Cygames to pay compensation in the amount of ¥ 4 billion ($ 29.2 million) and remove the game from the stores.

It is not known which patents, according to Konami, the authors of Uma Musume Pretty Derby violated. The document published on the Cygames website says only that they relate to a number of elements of the title’s game system.

Cygames stated that it does not admit guilt and considers the claims made groundless.
