The Organization for the Development of the Video Game Industry (RVI), the Association of Professionals in the Operating and Game Development Industry (A PRIORI) and a number of other associations appealed to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. They sent the agency proposals on how the authorities can help with the promotion of the Russian games abroad.
This is reported by Kommersant with reference to two sources from the gaming industry. The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation confirmed the information received to the newspaper.
The associations offered the authorities:
▪️help Russian companies with obtaining "special licenses" for the release of games in China;
▪️create "joint publishers with BRICS countries";
Establish a structure that will include representatives of gaming associations from the BRICS countries;
▪️launch expert centers where developers will be advised on the specifics of regulating the markets of the BRICS countries;
▪️facilitate cross-border payments for geographically distributed developers;
▪️support the holding of international esports tournaments;
▪️compensate the entire creative industry (games, movies, music, etc.) for part of the costs of marketing abroad.
