Hazelight Studios has announced that the sales of It Takes Two have reached 20 million copies, three and a half years after its release.

Since the last report in March 2024, the game has been purchased by an additional 4 million people.
Previous key sales milestones for It Takes Two:
- 1 million copies — April 23, 2021;
- 10 million copies — February 3, 2023;
- 16 million copies — March 26, 2024.
The game was released on March 26, 2021, for PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles. In November 2022, it also became available to Nintendo Switch owners.
