On June 6, Apple opened the WWDC 2022 conference, during which, among other things, it announced iOS 16. Soon one of the developers noticed that the beta of the new version of the operating system supports controllers for the Nintendo Switch.

According to Riley Testut, the gamepad for the Nintendo Switch Pro works “perfectly”. He also pointed out that both Joy-Con controllers can be used as a single device or, if desired, as two separate ones.

Later, Apple technical manager Nat Brown confirmed on Twitter that this was not an accident, and iOS 16 really works with controllers for the Nintendo Switch.
