InvestGame analysts have published a study on investments, public offerings and M&A transactions in the gaming market for the first three months of 2022. They found out that already now the volume of transactions was able to surpass the results for the whole of 2021.
However, if we leave only closed deals in the statistics (i.e., remove announcements like agreements between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard), then the amount becomes much less — $ 15.2 billion.
For comparison: in the first quarter of 2021, gaming transactions were carried out for $ 25 billion.
At the moment, 75% of the $15.2 billion amount was accounted for by M&A, 21% — by private investments, 4% — by public offerings.
