The fact that the developers of Halo decided to change the engine was announced by Jez Corden, editor-in-chief of the Windows Central portal.
Neither 343 Industries itself nor Microsoft, which owns it, have yet commented on the rumors.
Recall that in September, information leaked to the media that David Berger, the technical director who led the development of the studio’s own Slipspace Engine, was going to leave 343 Industries.
