In Vietnam, as in China, there is a limit on the amount of time minors can spend on video games. Now, they are looking to make it even stricter.

According to the document, Vietnamese authorities want to ban children under 16 from playing games from the same company for more than 60 minutes a day. It seems that "company" refers to a publisher whose portfolio may include games from various studios, but this cannot be stated with certainty.
For comparison, currently in Vietnam, two gaming limits are in place for young gamers. Both apply to residents under 18 years old and concern both online and offline titles:
- one gaming session cannot last more than one hour a day;
- playing several different games cannot exceed three hours a day.
Additionally, the authors of the bill proposed requiring gaming companies to verify users' ages and register children's accounts only with the consent of parents or guardians.
As Reuters writes, the bill is still being finalized, and some formulations may change or be completely removed in the final version. There is also no guarantee that it will be passed.
