Tencent has released a report for the third quarter of 2023, which ended on September 30. The Chinese giant reported that all its divisions had increased revenue.
▫️At the end of the quarter, the revenue of the entire Tencent increased by 10%, reaching ¥154.6 billion ($21.5 billion).
▫️At the same time, the holding's net profit fell by 5% to ¥36.8 billion ($5 billion).
▫️Game sales in China totaled ¥32.7 billion ($4.5 billion). This is 5% more than a year ago. Growth was achieved thanks to the recent release of Valorant and Lost Ark in China, as well as consistently good performance of games like Honor of Kings.
▫️Sales of games on the international market increased by 14% to ¥13.3 billion ($1.87 billion). The main growth drivers were PUBG Mobile, Goddess of Victory: Nikke, Valorant and Triple Match 3D.
▫️In total, these two segments accounted for 30% of Tencent's total revenue in the third quarter of 2023 - ¥46 billion ($6.37 billion).
▫️As of September 30, 105,309 people worked at Tencent. A year ago, there were 108,836 employees.
