The analytical company Newzoo has named the console and PC games with the highest revenue and number of copies sold for the period April-June 2024. The rankings accounted for game statistics from only six markets: the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany.
Fortnite — left, Content Warning — right
According to the report, the top-grossing game of the quarter was Fortnite, which alone generated 10% of all console and PC game revenue in the aforementioned markets. EA Sports FC 24 took second place with a 7.4% share.
The release of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion helped Elden Ring secure the eighth spot in the revenue rankings. Additionally, Ghost of Tsushima landed the tenth spot after a successful PC launch in mid-May.
The quarter's best-seller in terms of copies sold was the cooperative horror game Content Warning. Newzoo reports that over three months, the game was purchased 1.5 million times in the tracked markets.
Content Warning is not the only indie game in the top-sellers list. It is joined by Manor Lords, which took the sixth position.
