During the Unite 2023 conference, Unity announced Unity 6, the next version of its engine. With it, developers, among other things, will get early access to tools based on Unity Muse and Unity Sentis artificial intelligence.

Unity first showed these tools at the end of June. Let's remind you what they are.

Unity Muse is a set of technologies that allow you to create "almost anything" in the Unity editor based on a text description or a sketch.

Unity Sentis is a cross—platform solution with which developers can integrate neural networks into their projects.

Other innovations will include support for the WebGPU GUI and early access to the Unity Cloud service. The company also optimized performance, improved work with lighting and accelerated the creation of multiplayer games. You can read more about these and other innovations in the Unity blog.

Unity 6 is scheduled for release in 2024.
