According to officials, such a list can be created by analogy with RuStore.
This is reported by Kommersant, who has read the letter from the Information Technology Department of the Government of the Russian Federation. According to the newspaper, the department has already sent the idea for consideration to a number of departments, including the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education and the Prosecutor General’s Office. They have to give an assessment by February 10.
The newspaper reports that the government apparatus also asked the departments to evaluate the previously announced ideas for regulating the gaming market. Among them is the creation of a register of banned video games, mandatory identification of gamers through services like Yandex ID, as well as the inclusion of Russian parental control systems in the list of mandatory software pre—installation.
The authors of the proposals believe that all this will help protect children from the “negative influence” of video games.
