Tokyo police arrested a 41-year-old Konami employee. He is suspected of attempted murder of his former boss: on April 11, he attacked the head of one of the company’s departments and hit him on the head with a fire extinguisher.
The detainee does not deny that he was going to kill the former boss. He stated that the victim used his position in the company and humiliated him. How exactly he humiliated the employee is not specified. The case file says that the detainee in 2020 complained to Konami management about the behavior of the chief. At that time, the investigation did not reveal any violations, but the employee was transferred to another department.
Konami has not publicly commented on the arrest of the employee.
