The developers of Dwarf Fortress have published a fresh report on the state of the game. They said that in January Dwarf Fortress brought them $7.23 million — 462 times more than in December and 44 times more than in the whole of 2022.

Apparently, in January, the brothers Tarn and Zach Adams (Tarn, Zach Adams) for the first time received money from the sale of the game on Steam. Before that, they earned on donations.

The brothers noted that slightly less than half of the $7.23 million will go to taxes. They also need to give a salary to an employee hired in December and deal with other business expenses. But even after all the payments, they will be able to feel comfortable.
