The French authorities have recognized a number of entertainment applications as a threat to cybersecurity. Among the dangerous applications were TikTok, Netflix, Twitter and Candy Crush.

Now French officials are not allowed to install these applications on working devices. The authorities did not define a specific penalty for violating the ban, indicating that state agencies will make a decision on their own.

The newspaper Le Monde suggests that in the near future the number of applications banned for French officials may grow significantly. The government has not yet compiled a complete list of titles, it is expected that it will include almost all entertainment applications.
