Genshin Impact continues to impress with its financial results. According to analysts from Niko Partners, the mobile version of the game has generated $5 billion in China alone since its launch in 2020. Considering international markets, its total mobile revenue could reach $10 billion by 2025.

It is noteworthy that Niko Partners analysts, unlike other analytical platforms, accounted for data not only from the Chinese App Store but also from other Android platforms. This has allowed, for the first time, a more comprehensive view of the game's revenue in the country. It's worth mentioning that in China, Google Play is unavailable, and most Android users download apps through third-party stores.

Despite the impressive commercial results, analysts report a year-over-year decline in the game's revenue. However, the exact rate of this decline is not specified. Niko Partners attributes this to two factors:

  • The developer of Genshin Impact — miHoYo (also known as HoYoverse) — releases new titles that compete with each other;
  • Increased competition in the niche overall.
