The gaming company Geeky House and the Dagestan authorities have officially agreed to create a city-cluster in the region for the development of the IT sector in general, and the gaming industry in particular. They signed the corresponding agreement at SPIEF 2024.
"IT City" is planned to be built on the Caspian Sea shore. Currently, Geeky House is coordinating the exact location and boundaries of the plot for construction.
It is expected to be a fully-fledged small town, where both large companies and startups will open their branches. It is not reported whether any companies have already agreed to join. According to Geeky House's press release, "IT City" will have all the necessary infrastructure for living, affordable housing, modern office spaces, educational centers, incubators, accelerators, and much more. The city will also attract investments to support innovative projects.
