Shanghai police have arrested a group of people on suspicion of creating and selling cheats for Genshin Impact. This was reported by the game developers from the company miHoYo.
The arrests took place a month after miHoYo launched an operation to protect its intellectual rights: as part of it, the company is fighting leaks, the use of cheats, the creation of private servers and other violations.
The authors of Genshin Impact recalled that this is not the first arrest for distributing cheats for their game. In particular, in August 2022, three developers of cheats were sentenced to prison (they received from 1.5 to 4 years in prison) and a fine of $ 16.3 thousand.
