The company Gamota estimated that annual spending by Vietnamese mobile gamers is gradually approaching the billion-dollar mark.

According to analysts' estimates, last year's expenditures were 9.16% higher than in 2024. However, the number of paying gamers in Vietnam is relatively small — about 7-10%, while the rest prefer to play for free. And speaking of those who spend large sums in games, they are even fewer — 2-3%.
As of the end of last year, there were 54 million mobile gamers in Vietnam. To understand the scale, note that, according to statistics from the Worldometers website, the country has a population of 102 million. This means that if Gamota's observations are correct, half of the Vietnamese population at least occasionally plays mobile games.
The average gaming revenue per mobile gamer in Vietnam (ARPU) was estimated by analysts at $15.27 by the end of 2025.
