Apple regularly removes from its App Store products that do not meet App Store requirements. Recently, it reported that it removed 116,117 apps last year, 15% of which were games.
In total, 17,853 games were removed from the App Store over the year. According to Apple's report, this is the largest category of deleted apps. Utilities came in second, with 17,779 removed apps. Business products rounded out the top three with 10,560 apps.
In 2022, Apple removed significantly more apps. That year, the total number of deleted projects was 186,195, including 38,883 games.
