On April 26, the company miHoYo, previously noted for the popular Genshin Impact, released a turn-based RPG Honkai: Star Rail on PC and smartphones. The very next day, the game’s downloads exceeded 20 million.

The achievement of the project was announced by analyst Daniel Ahmad, who referred to the developers’ post on Weibo. He did not say how the downloads were distributed across platforms and regions. But he noted that before the release of Honkai: Star Rail collected 31 million pre-registrations: 21 million from China and 10 million from other countries.

The analyst added that the mobile version of Honkai: Star Rail managed to set a record — it took first place in the top of the most downloaded games on iOS in more countries than any other game before it.
