Regarding his decision to step down, Hjalmar Vikström wrote on LinkedIn. He shared that he is proud of his work at 10 Chambers but now wants to shift his focus. He is more interested in developing small indie games rather than large-scale projects—as an indie developer, he can both engage in the work he loves and devote sufficient attention to his family and health.
Vikström has already started working on a new game, but he is not ready to disclose its details yet.
During his tenure at 10 Chambers, Vikström held multiple positions. In recent years, he served as the studio's development director.
It is worth noting that 10 Chambers is a Swedish studio founded in 2015 by former members of Starbreeze and Overkill Software. Their portfolio includes two shooters: GTFO (released in 2021) and Den of Wolves (currently in preparation for release).
