The GitHub platform has suspended the hiring of employees and announced that it will reduce 10% of the staff by the end of fiscal 2023 (March 31, 2022). That’s about 300 people.

The remaining GitHub employees will soon switch to a completely remote work format. CEO Thomas Dohmke explained that the offices were not very popular, so as soon as the lease expires, they will be closed.
