The European Parliament Committee on Culture and Education proposed to increase support. In particular, officials want the European authorities to invest more in developers — this year they were allocated only €6 million under the Creative Europe program.
The Committee also called for more active use of games in education, to create an archive with culturally significant games and launch the label “European Games”. He also spoke for the support of the esports industry.
Voting on the Committee’s proposal will take place at a mini-session of the European Parliament on November 9-10.
