The Swedish company G5 Entertainment has reported on the results of the second quarter of 2023. Compared to last year, the revenue of the entire company fell by 10%, at the same time, the revenues of the browser-based G5 Store app store increased by 106% at once.
▪️G5 Entertainment’s revenue was $31.31 million. Of this amount, 10% went to the G5 Store. It should be noted that a year ago the share of the store in the company’s revenue was 4.3%.
▪️The company’s gross profit decreased to $21.12 million. This is 4% less compared to the second quarter of 2022.
The main hits of the company — Sherlock, Hidden City and the Jewels series — performed a little worse than at the beginning of the year, but this is typical for the summer season. Their indicators are not disclosed. It is only known that Sherlock’s revenue was 3% lower than in January-March 2023, but 12% higher than in April-June 2022.
In the second quarter, the average monthly active audience of the company’s games was 5.2 million people. A drop of 21% in annual terms. The average daily active audience fell by 13% to 1.5 million people, and the number of paying players — by 9% to 168 thousand people.
