A new indie publisher, Digital Bandidos, has entered the gaming market. It was launched by Steve Escalante, the founder of the now defunct Versus Evil, and Lance James, the former head of production at Versus Evil.
Digital Bandidos plans to publish games with a production budget of up to $3 million. According to the company's website, they specialize in RPGs, action games, and strategy games for PC and consoles but are ready to work with any other genres and platforms.
Digital Bandidos has already signed its first contracts—with the creators of Mafia-inspired games Town of Salem and Town of Salem 2, as well as the creators of the action roguelike Soulstone Survivors.
