A new game development studio officially opened in Sweden. It's called Blue Scarab Entertainment. It was founded by a group of industry veterans who previously worked on Helldivers 2, World of Warcraft, Star Stable Online, Battlefield, and Age of Conan.
Blue Scarab Entertainment was formally established back in 2021, but it announced its launch just now. The studio is headed by Colin Cragg, former Creative Director at Toadman Interactive and Producer at Funcom.
Blue Scarab Entertainment's debut game will be an MMORPG on Unreal Engine 5. It's an original IP. Recently, the studio secured $7 million in funding for the game's development from NetEase, Behold Venture, as well as Jonas Antonsson, founder of Raw Fury, Ólafur Andri Ragnarsson, founder of Betware, and Stefan Lindeberg, founder of Creandum.
