In early August, the New Zealand legal entity Mytona Fntastic Limited registered the Dayworld trademark. According to the document, we are talking about a downloadable game product.
The first to register drew the attention of the Australian gaming resource WellPlayed. Its authors suggested that, perhaps, this indicates the plans of the Mytona and Fntastic teams to change the name of The Day Before.
Recall that in January, companies with Yakut roots had problems with the trademark of the game. Because of this, her Steam page was blocked.
As it turned out later, the developers applied for trademark registration only after the announcement of The Day Before. As a result, by the time they submitted the documents, the brand was already registered to a third-party private person from the USA.
The current owner of the brand The Day Before insists that he registered this name in South Korea back in 2015. A calendar application is distributed and sold under it, whose total installations, according to AppMagic, have almost reached the 30 million mark.
Earlier, Fntastic representatives stated that they were going to challenge the right to use their chosen brand in court. However, according to the documents available online, the proceedings have been suspended.
