Order of Meta is a Helsinki—based studio consisting of former employees of Wargaming, Panzerdog and HeroCraft. She recently successfully closed a seed funding round.

The leader of the round was the GEM Capital investment group. Together with her, The Games Fund, Play Ventures and Korea Investment Partners invested money in the studio.

The $3.3 million Order of Meta will spend on completing the development and subsequent release of its debut Cargo Hunters game. It will be an evacuation PvPvE shooter about giant robots fighting for resources in a post-apocalyptic world. According to the developers, their game will be different from other similar projects: they decided to experiment with the genre and bring something new to it. They also want to make Cargo Hunters a deep meta game.

Order of Meta plans to launch the Cargo Hunters beta test during 2024. At first, the shooter will be available only on mobile devices, but over time the studio intends to release it on "big" platforms.

Order of Meta opened in 2021. She has 17 employees, ten of whom work remotely.

The studio was founded:

  • Alexey Sazonov is the co—founder of Panzerdog and Krabwerk studios. The first one is known for the Tacticool cooperative shooter, which has earned more than $75 million to date. The second one did not have time to register hit games and is now closed. Sazonov also previously held the position of Sales and Marketing Director at HeroCraft for eight years;
  • Sergey Kozyakov — together with Sazonov, he was the co-founder of both Panzerdog and Krabwerk. Prior to that, he worked for two years at HeroCraft, where he was the art director and team leader of Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf;
  • Alexey Kuzin — was responsible for the development of the World of Tanks engine at Wargaming for more than three years.

This is not the first time Order of Meta has attracted investment. At the end of 2021, she received $1.5 million from Play Ventures, Initial Capital and Unity co-founder David Helgason.
