Tim Sweeney, the head of Epic Games, said that the company is not going to prohibit the distribution of games that have NFT functionality on the Epic Games Store. In his opinion, it is wrong to interfere in the way developers create games.

His words, of course, had a context.

One of the Twitter users raised the topic of banning NFT in Minecraft (read about it in the previous news) and noted that he would be very happy if Epic Games would take a similar measure with regard to blockchain projects.

Sweeney’s response was harsh. In his opinion, neither application stores nor the authors of operating systems should interfere either in development or in how people play projects.

We certainly won’t be doing this,” said the head of Epic Games.
