Epic Games has announced that the Epic Games Store client will stop supporting Windows 7 and 8 operating systems from June 2024. It will also drop support for 32-bit Windows 10.

Epic Games indicated that after this date, gamers on Windows 7, 8 and 32-bit Windows 10 will still be able to launch the Epic Games Store and play, but it does not guarantee the correct operation of the site. Over time, users may encounter errors, and some functions will become available only in newer versions of operating systems. Epic Games Store technical support will no longer help such gamers solve their problems.

Previously, Steam stopped supporting Windows 7 and 8. The Valve platform client stopped supporting these operating systems on January 1, 2024. However, according to official statistics, a small part of the Steam audience still uses them - in February they accounted for 0.66% of the Steam audience.

It is unknown how many Epic Games Store users are currently using Windows 7 and 8.
