Epic Games Store is preparing to launch the Epic First Run program. As part of it, the store will stop charging commission on sales of exclusive games, but only for the first six months after the release.
In six months, exclusive developers will pay a standard commission of 12% along with everyone else.
Program participants cannot simultaneously publish games in other third-party PC stores, such as Steam. Nevertheless, they are allowed to release games in their stores or on their websites.
Developers whose games will be released in the Epic Games Store starting from October 16, 2023, will be able to join the program.
