On November 14, an appeal hearing was held in the case of Epic Games and Apple. Both companies tried to refute the court’s decision made last September

According to Reuters, during the hearing, Epic Games admitted that it had provided insufficient evidence on some points, but continued to argue that Apple should be considered a monopolist. In turn, Apple insisted on the importance of maintaining control over the iOS platform, as it is necessary for the safety of users.

It should be noted that the US Department of Justice also participated in the hearing. It argued that initially the court misinterpreted the antimonopoly legislation.

It is expected that appeals may take about nine months to be considered.
