The conflict between Epic Games and Apple has been ongoing for more than six years; it flared up in the summer of 2020. According to Epic Games, the legal process could have taken less time if the "apple" corporation had not intentionally delayed it during certain periods.

In particular, Epic Games is dissatisfied with how the current stage of the proceedings is progressing.
In a court statement, the company reminded that in August, Apple had requested permission to charge a commission in the U.S. for purchases outside the App Store and presented a fee structure ranging from 5% to 15%. Subsequently, Apple was supposed to hand over internal documents to its opponents, showing exactly how it calculated these fees. However, according to Epic Games, Apple has shared only a small portion of the materials to date.
Now, the creators of Fortnite are demanding that Apple be obliged to immediately begin the phased handover of documents and completely finish it no later than November 1, 2026.
In its own statement, Apple refuted the accusations. The corporation claims that it did not intentionally delay anything, and any delays in document transfer were caused by Epic Games' actions — the latter had previously requested to review correspondence and documents from 27 Apple employees.
