Johan Ekström will resign from his position as CFO of Embracer Group on September 1, 2024. This was announced by Embracer Group in its latest annual report.

This fall, Müge Bouillon, who is currently Ekström's deputy, will become the new CFO.
Ekström is also the deputy CEO of Embracer Group. He will leave this post earlier — on June 1, 2024. Phil Rogers, head of the Crystal Dynamics – Eidos group, will replace him.
The top manager will officially leave Embracer Group on March 31, 2025. Until then, he will assist the holding with its division into three companies: Asmodee, Coffee Stain & Friends and Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends.
By the time Ekström leaves Embracer Group, he will have worked at the holding for six years. According to Embracer Group, he decided to resign for personal reasons. What he plans to do next has not been disclosed.
