On the evening of April 14, the studio with Belarusian roots, Sad Cat Studios, released its debut game—a cyberpunk platformer called REPLACED. Within the first few hours, the new release collected over 500 reviews on Steam, 87% of which were positive.

REPLACED launched with very positive reviews on Steam and a million wishlists

REPLACED

Most gamers praised REPLACED for its pleasing visual style and beautiful graphics, which only benefited from the use of pixel art. Many also highly regarded the soundtrack, storyline, and atmosphere of the game.

However, there were some downsides. Not everyone was satisfied with the gameplay, and there are complaints about bugs.

According to data from Steam Scout, one-third of the reviews for REPLACED on Steam were written by English-speaking gamers. Reviews in Russian made up slightly less (30.7%). The top five were rounded out by reviews in Simplified Chinese (13.9%), Turkish (3.8%), and Brazilian Portuguese (3.1%).

Regarding the peak online presence of the Steam version of REPLACED, it reached 5,352 players. It's worth noting that this is the second-best result among games published by Thunderful Publishing—only ASKA performed better, with a peak of 10,713 players.

REPLACED is available on PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, as well as on Xbox Series consoles (including Game Pass subscription). As reported by Sad Cat Studios, the game was released with over a million wishlists, although the distribution of these across platforms was not specified.
