The parade of financial reports continued with Electronic Arts (EA). The company also announced its results for the third fiscal quarter of 2026—like Take-Two, this period spanned from October 1 to December 31, 2025.
Battlefield 6
- According to the report, EA's net revenue for the quarter amounted to $1.9 billion. Compared to last year, it remained almost unchanged with a growth of just 1%.
- The breakdown of revenue by platform is as follows: 62.2% from console games, 24.4% from PC games, and 13.3% from mobile games.
- Meanwhile, EA's net bookings significantly increased. They jumped by 38% to $3.04 billion. As EA reports, this is a record amount for a quarter, achieved thanks to the strong launch of Battlefield 6, as well as the popularity of Apex Legends and EA SPORTS FC series games.
- Overall, EA is very pleased with the Battlefield 6 release. While no new figures were provided, the company noted the shooter set a franchise record for player engagement. Previously, EA had reported that Battlefield 6 sold 7 million copies in the first three days.
- In total, EA sold $632 million worth of games during the quarter, which is a 5.5% increase from the previous year. However, revenue from microtransactions, in-game purchases, and other sources fell by 1.1% to $1.27 billion.
- EA's net income for the quarter decreased by approximately 3.3 times, or 70%. While the company earned $293 million in profit a year ago, it now posted "only" $88 million.
