Now, upon dismissal, top managers of Electronic Arts (EA) will receive a severance package, the amount of which is 2.99 times less than their salary and annual bonus combined. However, the restriction only applies to the amount received in cash.
For example, under the new rules, the head of EA, Andrew Wilson, is owed $7.8 million in cash. But he will also receive shares that are valued at another $27 million.
