Electronic Arts (EA) reported for the first quarter of fiscal 2024, which ended on June 30. We collected the main thing from the company’s documents.

▪️EA reported net revenue of $1.9 billion, which is 9% more than last year. Of this amount, $1.48 billion came from games services.

▪️Net receipts (net bookings) amounted to $1.57 billion, an increase of 21% year-on-year. This is a record for the first quarter. Console games accounted for 57.1% of revenue. Next are PC games (23.7%) and mobile games (19.2%).

▪️The company’s net profit increased by 29% to $402 million.

EA stated that “millions” of gamers have played in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Respawn Entertainment is currently working on versions of the game for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

▪️The monthly active audience of Apex Legends is 18 million people. The retention rate is 70%. EA noted that the 17th season of Apex Legends did not meet its financial expectations.

The EA SPORTS FIFA franchise had the best first quarter in terms of net receipts (the amount was not disclosed). In addition, the monthly, weekly and daily audience of FIFA Online has grown by a double-digit percentage. FIFA Mobile attracted 65 million new players in the quarter.

The Sims 4 audience grew by 4 million people in the quarter.
