Electronic Arts (EA) summed up the results of the second quarter of fiscal 2024, which ended on September 30. The company has shown good results.

▫️EA's net revenue increased by 0.5% to $1.9 billion. Of this amount, $1.29 billion came from games services.

▫️Net receipts increased by 4%, reaching $1.82 billion. Most of the revenue came from console games ($1.15 billion). Next are PC games ($389 million) and mobile games ($279 million).

▫️EA's net profit increased by 33.4% to $399 million.

The quarterly performance of the EA SPORTS Madden NFL and EA Sports FC franchises exceeded the company's expectations.

▫️Total receipts in the EA SPORTS Madden NFL franchise increased by 6% over the year. Up to what amount is not specified.

▫️In the first four weeks after the release, EA Sports FC 24 attracted more than 14.5 million people.

▫️EA Sports FC Mobile 24 has set a record among the mobile games of the series. On the day of its release on September 29, it was downloaded 2 million times, 5 million times in three days, 11 million times in ten days.

EA is pleased with the launch of the sixth season of Battlefield 2042, — the Steam version of the game showed a record level of user engagement. Recall that last month Battlefield 2042 updated its record for peak online on Steam two years after its release. According to SteamDB, 107,376 people played Battlefield 2042 simultaneously on October 21.
