Publisher Kitfox Games announced that in less than a day Dwarf Fortress sales on Steam exceeded 160 thousand copies. The company expected to sell so much in two months.
As the head of Kitfox Games Tanya Short tells on Twitter, this forecast was made by an economist who studied the indicators of the publisher’s previous games. Short herself believed in Steam algorithms and therefore expected to see at least 200 thousand copies sold in two months.
