As a result of the study, analysts from VK Play and ITMO National Research University came to such conclusions, who again took up the calculation of educational programs and courses in the country.
A total of 233 programs were counted. Most of them are aimed at adults and those with higher education (74%).
Speaking of higher education, by the way. The number of university bachelor’s and master’s degree programs dedicated to game development has increased by a quarter over the year. However, there are still relatively few of them. A total of 40 for 1,500 budget places (for a bachelor’s degree in the gaming field, they ask for about a million rubles for commercial places).
Most of the educational programs are courses and intensive courses. There are 71% of them. Three quarters of them are implemented in an online format. The average cost of a course on one or another aspect of game development is 186 thousand rubles.
Game-rendezvous courses for children and places where they are engaged in secondary vocational education account for 15% of the total number of educational programs on game-rendezvous in Russia. The annual increase here was the same 15%. Most of these courses already have a full-time format.
